Google's countdown, pre-orders for the Google Pixel 11 may open prior to the launch event.

Like a grown-up man in a smidgen of a world, Google seems prepared to shock the smartphone enthusiast with the launch of Pixel 11 pre-orders even before the official Made by Google event. Countdown timers on Google Store and Best Buy suggest people may have been able to sign up for the Google Pixel 11 series several hours before the event kicks off.

The countdown states that the Pixel 11 pre-orders will open at 10:00 AM ET on August 12, and the launch event for the Made by Google 2026 is set for 6:00 PM ET on the same day. The users will have approximately eight hours to make their orders before Google officially reveals the devices.

It's not the first time in which Google has gone out of the way. The company had also announced about the Pixel 10 series just prior to the launch event last year. This year, though, the early pre-order window looks to be much longer, affording eager customers a chance to get their hands on the devices well before the presentation.

The early countdown appears to indicate Google's confidence in its two upcoming offerings and a desire to stir up some excitement before officially announcing them. The Pixel 11 series, as well as other new hardware, will be on display for fans during the Made by Google event.
